Orange launches the African Social Venture Prize |
|
With the collaboration of the CSR divisions and Innovacom, the Group venture capital subsidiary, Orange AMEA (Africa, Middle-East, Asia) is willing to inform you about the launching of the Orange African Social Venture Prize
This prize aims at promoting social business projects, targeting the African countries of Orange's footprint, with a large focus on ICTs and innovation. In this context 3 winners, either students or new entrepreneurs wishing to participate in African "bottom of the pyramid" development , will be selected and will benefit from a financial grant along with a mentoring support from management, ICTs and entrepreneurship experts. Applications will be open until September, 15th, so do not hesitate to spread the word!

Enter Now for the 2011 Africa SMME Awards |

Your small, medium or micro enterprise (SMME) may be recognised as the Africa SMME of the Year.
If your business has grown in a responsible and sustainable manner over the last few years and is furthermore contributing to the African and local economy, we feel you need recognition.
Businesses from all sectors may compete for this awards and the ultimate honour will be to achieve the overall award for the SMME of the Year.
Entry Criteria:
- Employ less than the full time equivalent of 200 persons and must have a turnover ranging between R40 000 and R10 million per annum;
- Registered in Africa;
- In active operation for at least two years;
- Be resident in Africa;
- Not be a branch of another business.
Winners will take the spotlight at a gala awards evening in South Africa on the 13th of October 2011.
Closing date for entries: 30 June 2011.

Is your company one of infoDev’s Top 50 technology SMEs? |

infoDev is looking for the Top 50 innovative, technology-led small to medium enterprises (SMEs) in our global network of incubators.
The winners will receive full assistance to attend the 2011 Global Forum on Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Helsinki, Finland in May 2011. AIN Incubator Manager Training Workshops
AIN will be hosting a range of workshops aimed at incubator managers and staff on 15, 16 and 17 March 2011 in Cape Town.
The workshops will be presented by infoDev, a division of the World Bank. |
